    2010 Conference Schedule

     

     

    National Safe Place and the SENetwork are excited to co-host the 2010 national conference, Breaking New Ground With Youth Conference, in Louisville, KY, September 29-October 1.  Please join youth services workers and other youth advocates from around the country in this energy packed, highly relevant networking and professional development event.

     

    Who should attend?  Those who…

    •  are Executive Directors, Development Directors, Outreach workers, Safe Place Coordinators, Youth Care Workers
    •  are involved in administration, policy development, program development, program management or direct services
    •  work with adolescents are in the field of youth services or child welfare
    •  are involved in law enforcement, community youth advocates and leaders
    •  coordinate Safe Place programs or plan to offer Safe Place services

    • Safe Place programmatic topics
    •  Fundraising and development
    •  Clinical and residential care
    •  Community and street outreach
    •  Executive leadership  

    Please register by September 15, 2010.  Walk-ups and late registrants will not be guaranteed space availability at events other than regular conference workshop sessions.  Early bird registration deadline is September 1, 2010.

     

    Hotel Reservations:
    A block of rooms has been reserved at the special rate of $139.00 per night single or double occupancy, plus tax.  Participants are responsible for making their own hotel reservations directly with the Brown Hotel.  Please call 502/583-1234 before August 26, 2010.

      

    The Louisville International Airport is located six miles away and hotel guests may utilize the complimentary van shuttle service to and from the airport 24 hours a day. For those driving to the conference, parking is available in an attached enclosed garage. Overnight self-parking is $16/night. Overnight valet parking is $20/night.


    Continuing Education Units:
    Continuing Education units will be available to all interested participants through the University of Tennessee School of Social Work for a fee of $15 for SEN and/or NSP members and $50 for non-members.

     

    CFRE education points are available for sessions facilitated by Barbara Talisman including: Social Media to Fundraise, Strategies for Diversifying Funding, Corporate Relations, Annual and On-Line Giving Best Practices, Empowering Your Board to Fundraise, and Grant Writing and Foundation Funding.
