All of us know how hard it is to go it alone, whether as a young person on the streets, or as an agency trying to build the capacity to serve their community, life is tough without friends who care.
That’s where SENetwork comes in.
Who We Are…
The Southeastern Network of Youth and Family Services is a member driven organization of youth and family services agencies throughout the United States.
Since 1977, the SENetwork has offered a meeting ground for staff, volunteers and youth of youth-serving agencies. Here, members share experiences, expand skills, test new ideas and strategies and create new models of working.
SENetwork is US — its members.
SENetwork members’ vision and beliefs are reflected in a set of common values. We believe that young people, families, and communities develop in relation to one another — healthy youth and families build healthy communities, healthy communities support the health of youth and families. Our work is to foster this development for all youth, families, and communities.
SENetwork fosters the highest quality youth and family services by recognizing and engaging the power of the human spirit to work in partnership with youth, families and community members.
What We Do...
SENetwork provides training, technical assistance, advocacy support and funding to youth and family services agencies. We provide services tailored to meet specific agency needs in the most cost efficient manner. We bring these services to members through individual site visits, conference events, live “webinar” curricula, and daily availability of our staff. Many of our training and information services are now available through the website via on-demand webinars, electronic library, and electronic alerts. SENetwork administers multi-state projects that provide sub-grants for many of the member agencies. The mission of SENetwork is strengthening organizations as they strengthen youth, families and communities.
Together We Can…
...is our motto, and we experience the wisdom of it every day. We help youth and families in crisis by providing our member agencies with up to date information on best practices, funding opportunities, emerging clinical trends, training, and technical assistance.
As sited in Administration in Social Work, Vol. 22, SENetwork “has a notable impact on (1) the professional development of members, (2) the development of agencies, (3) the development of youth, and (4) the members' effort to affect social change."
We welcome your participation in SENetwork. If you would like to learn more about us, contact our main office at (239) 949-4414, or visit our website at www.senetwork.org. |
